LifeShare Blood Drive

Lifeshare will be hosting a mobile blood drive at 2 locations upcoming on the 15th of October. First will be at the Nashville City Hall from 9am-1pm and then again in the Walmart parking lot from 3pm-5pm. Donate & receive a LifeShare T-shirt while supplies last. Lifeshare recommends planning ahead when you know you are going to be giving blood. This includes getting a good night’s sleep the night before as well as  drinking plenty of water. And also, eat a healthy balanced meal rich in Iron and Vitamin C. Make sure if you plan on attending that you bring a valid photo ID. You must be 16 YO to donate. With the shortage of blood in our local hospitals it’s never been more important to step up and make a donation. Generally folks are able to donate blood every 8 weeks. And it’s important to note that blood donations received in this area directly go to supporting our local Howard Memorial Hospital. We never know when we or a loved one may need a life saving unit of blood but having it available is an initiative we all can take part in supporting.
