Love for Anni benefits this Friday and Saturday at Nashville City Park
Anniston Sanders is the daughter of Derek and Beth Ann Sanders. Anni was born with a rare condition leaving her without ears. Benefit organizer, Sandi Martin described Anni condition.
Sandi Martin, John Maines and the members of the Midnight Hurricanes have put together a singing competition, a concert and a softball tournament. Martin mentioned what you can expect Friday night.
It’s $50 to enter the singing contest and the deadline to sign up is Wednesday. First place will receive a 1-hour recording session with Smart Productions, perform at Country Music USA in New Boston and first place plaque and a Love for Anni t-shirt. Second place will receive a $50 savings bond, perform at Country Music USA in New Boston, a second-place plaque and a Love for Anni t-shirt. And third place will get to perform at Country Music USA in New Boston, a third-place plaque and a Love for Anni t-shirt. To enter, call 801-710-0363.
Following the singing contest at 7:30 the Midnight Hurricanes and Friends will perform at the Nashville City Park. Admission is $10 for adults and children 5 and under are free. They will also be serving BBQ dinners for $10 for adults and $5 for children 5 and under.
Martin said Saturday Anni will throw out the first pitch to start the co-ed softball tournament.
Martin said the benefit is a rain or shine event. In the event it rains Friday night, the singing contest and concert will be moved to the 6th Street Auditorium in Nashville.
