Murfreesboro man charged with drug charges

A Pike County resident is facing felony drug possession charges following a traffic stop by Arkansas State Police. 34 year old Zachary Ray Collins of Murfreesboro is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance–methamphetamine. Reports say Collins was traveling on Highway 27, south of Kirby, when state police stopped his vehicle in connection with outstanding warrants. While being handcuffed, troopers say they located a small, plastic, zip-loc style baggy with a white, rock style substance, believed to be methamphetamine.
Collins was transported to the jail. In addition to the drug charges, authorities say Collins was also wanted on a failure to appear warrant in Pike County and for a state parole warrant.
