Murfreesboro Outdoor Graduation Set For July
Murfreesboro High School officials say the district has been given approval by the state to hold graduation ceremonies this summer.
The traditional graduation for Murfreesboro will be Saturday, July 18th at 10:30 AM. Graduation had originally been scheduled in the school’s activity room but has been moved to the football stadium to allow for more people to attend.
School officials say everyone attending the ceremony will be required to wear a mask and hand sanitizer will be provided at entry points.
School officials are planning to open both sides of the stadium bleachers in order to accommodate the social distancing guidelines.
Household groups will be allowed to sit together but the six feet of spacing will be required between groups. Seating will be configured so that every other row will be unoccupied to meet the distancing requirements.
School officials say the graduates will be centered on the field and face the west end zone so they will be visible from both sides of the stadium.
