Names released in Lansdell Family Clinic federal indictments

Five nurse practitioners and three pharmacists were named yesterday in a federal indictment related to opioid distribution from Lansdell Family Medical Clinics in southwest Arkansas.   The group includes Tawnya Lansdell, Claire Russell, Wendy Gammon, Shelly Eastridge and Bonita Martin. The pharmacists include Candace  Whitely, Gina  Richardson and Stephen Sullivan.

All eight individuals entered a not guilty plea to the charges and received a May 16th trial date.  Bond for each person was set at $5,000.

The indictments, announced earlier this week, were the result of an investigation last year at the clinic locations in Dierks, De Queen, Lockesurg, and Texarkana.

The defendants could be sentenced up to 20 years in prison, receive a fine up to $1 million, or both, if convicted of conspiracy to distribute a Schedule II controlled substance. If convicted of conspiracy to distribute a Schedule III controlled substance, the defendants face up to 10 years in federal prison, a fine up to $500,000, or both. If convicted of conspiracy to distribute a Schedule IV controlled substance, the defendants face up to five years in prison, a fine up to $250,000, or both.
