School Underway in Blevins

The Blevins School District opens their doors today on the 20/21 school year after receiving word late last week that a school employee tested positive for COVID-19. Officials say they received that confirmation Thursday. The district’s point of contact immediately determined who most likely had been in close contact with the employee, and those people were sent home.
The Blevins District said those staff members are expected to be quarantined off campus for a 14 day period, unless otherwise directed by the state health department.
School officials say they will continue to follow state guidance to ensure safety for the staff, students and community.
Updates for the community will be given as needed in regards to the situation.
