Nashville Approves Yearly Budget

Nashville’s city budget for 2020 was approved during Monday night’s council meeting. Projections for next year include approximately 7.3 million dollars of income with expenses totaling 7.05 million dollars.
Concerning significant expenses included in the budget, Mayor Billy Ray Jones says most of the effort will be focused on the sidewalk project.

In the long term, Mayor Jones says attention will need to given to 4th Street.

Next year’s budget does not include a pay raise for city employees. Instead, council members approved a recommendation Monday from the mayor to give employees a 500 dollar bonus.
