Nashville Bridges Closer To Opening

The city of Nashville has received good news concerning the Howard Street bridge that connects to Collins Road.

Public works director Larry Dunaway says project contractors lave located the 90 foot steel beams needed for the bridge. Including transportation, the eight beams will cost just over 21 thousand dollars.

Once those arrive, the city will begin working on the project. The bridge has been closed since early 2019.

Another bridge project locally is moving along. Dunaway says the city is getting closer to completing the new bridge by the primary school.

The bridge is expected to be open by the time school starts in mid-August.
