Nashville City Council passes the 2023 budget
On Monday the Nashville City Council held their regular monthly meeting.
Finance Director Kimberly Green gave a report on revenue and expenditures for the month of November.
Code Enforcement Officer David Riggs presented ordinance 975 and ordinance 663 for permitting purposes to the council.
The City of Nashville passed ordinance 975 by amending Nashville Municipal Code, allowing the city to charge inspection fees for electrical, building, plumbing, and solar systems.
The Nashville City Council also made a motion to pass ordinance 663, which set the inspection rates for electrical, building, and plumbing fees.
Mayor Billy Ray Jones presented the operating budget for the city of Nashville for the year 2023. This included total revenues of $8,616,571.00 and total expenditures of $8,412,989.00. A motion was made by council members Nick Davis and seconded by James Parker to adopt the city of Nashville Operating Budget for 2023.
