Nashville Scrappers defeats Lonoke Jackrabbits on Senior Night
Friday night, the Nashville Scrappers celebrated senior night with a 62 to 7 victory over the Lonoke Jackrabbits.
In Nashville’s regular season game, senior Tre Hopkins set the tone with 4 touchdowns.
Hopkins gave the Scrappers an early lead on his first touchdown run with 9:15 to play in the first quarter.
Lonoke would tie the score at 7 less than two minutes later.
Freshman DJ Jefferson would toss his first varsity touchdown to Hayden Gray with 4:54 to play in the first quarter.
A little over a minute later, Hopkins would score his second touchdown of the night to put the Scrappers up 21 to 7.
The Scrappers would add 2 field goals in the second quarter and Jefferson would score his first rushing touchdown in the second quarter.
In the fourth quarter with the Sportsmanship Rule in affect, Jefferson would score his second rushing touchdown, while freshman teammate Miles Hawthorne would score his first varsity touchdown.
The Scrappers will host the Crossett Eagles in the first round of the 4A state playoffs this Friday night and you can listen live on B 99.5.
