Pike county woman arrested for drug possession
On July 20th, Pike County Deputy Chance Reid was on patrol in Glenwood and observed an orange Pontiac car traveling west on US 70 East. According to the affidavit Reid had prior knowledge of the car not having insurance. After Reid ran the tag, it confirmed the car had no insurance. The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Cristie Lynn Pitchford of Glenwood. It was reported that when asked about Driver’s License and proof of insurance, Pitchford reportedly told Reid that she didn’t have her license on her, and she couldn’t find proof of insurance.
It was also reported that when Reid conducted a search on Pitchford’s vehicle, Reid retrieved a Pepsi bottle with a small clear plastic bag that contained a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine and 2 straws believed to be used as a paraphernalia to snort the drug. Pitchford was arrested and transported to the Pike County Jail and was charged possession of a schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance, driver’s license to be carried and exhibited on demand and insurance required.
