Scrappers defeat the Badgers; take on the Bearcats Friday

The Nashville Scrappers built a six-run lead in the fifth inning yesterday and then held off Arkadelphia for a 6-5 road victory.
Nashville scored three runs in the fourth inning. Scrapper batters contributing to the big inning included Will Pope and Aiden Smith, who knocked in runs in the inning.
Pope got the win for Nashville. Pope allowed five hits and two runs over five and a third innings, striking out 12. Ty Gordon threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Gordon recorded the last five outs to earn the save for the Scrappers.
Nashville’s next contest is another conference road trip to Mena Friday afternoon.
