Soil And Water Conservation Awards Scholarship

The Mine Creek Soil and Water Conservation District Board has awarded a five hundred dollar scholarship to Nashville High School senior Caelan Pearson. She currently serves as the Secretary for the local FFA chapter and is active in the 4-H program. Pearson plans to attend Southern Arkansas University to pursue a degree in Animal Science.

Each year, the conservation district awards a scholarship to a Howard County high school senior who plans to major in a conservation or agriculture related course of study.

This year’s winner is the daughter of David and Tammy Pearson.
