Steve Martin Invitational Jr. High Tournament continues today

The Steve Martin Invitational Junior High Tournament tipped-off Saturday afternoon at the Dierks Gymnasium.

Kirby girls defeated Horatio 42-29. The Caddo Hills Lady Indians defeated the Cossatot River Lady Eagles 19-14, and the Acorn Tigers defeated the Horatio Lions 27-23.
Dierks girls’ basketball coach, Todd Finley said this tournament is a way of honoring a great man who loved supporting the young people of Dierks.

Finley said there were four boys’ and girls’ teams that could win the tournament championship.

Today’s game schedule includes Acorn and Caddo Hills in a girls game at 4 o’clock. The Cossatot River and Acorn boys play at 5:15. The final two games tonight will have Dierks and Kirby playing in girls and boys games. The girls game is scheduled to tip-off at 6:30 and the boys game will follow at 7:45.
