The Battle for the Howard County Cup kicks off tonight in Dierks

Last week, the Dierks Outlaws improved to 2 and 0 in conference play with a victory over the Murfreesboro Rattlers, while the Mineral Springs Hornets and coach Jason Hathcock went to Lafayette County and returned with a victory and a 2 and 0 conference record.

Dierks head coach Paul Earnest says it hard to find any weaknesses in this week’s opponent.

Mineral Springs head coach Hathcock said he believes his team can win, but he wants to see his players handle the mental pressure of the game.

Mineral Springs will be on the road at the Holler tonight in Dierks. Kick off is at 7 pm, listen to the game on 105.5 the Maverick. The winner of tonight’s contest will claim the Howard County Cup for the next 12-months.
