UA Cossatot Coach Speaks to Nashville Rotary Club

UA Cossatot Athletic Director and Head Basketball Robert Byrd was the guest speaker at the Nashville Rotary Club meeting this week.

Byrd coached the past 7 seasons at Lone Star College-CyFair in Houston, Texas.

This season, the Colts will have 18 players and the Lady Colts team will consist of 12 players. Byrd said there are players from Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Florida on this year’s roster.

Byrd told the Rotarians that attending UA Cossatot is not just about basketball, it’s about the community as well. He also shared his philosophy and plans for the Colt program.

Bryd also mentioned that UA Cossatot is looking at starting a soccer program and a volleyball program in the near future.
