Outlaws travel to Lafayette County Thursday night

The Dierks Outlaws claimed the Howard County Cup and the 7-2A District championship last Friday night with a 24-18 victory over the Mineral Springs Hornets.

Dierks Head Coach Jarrod Fannin said both teams played their hearts out and he was glad that the Outlaws came away with the victory.

Fannin said the team set the goal of winning the conference championship three years ago, but they still have unfinished business and that starts this Thursday night against Lafayette County.

Fannin said he doesn’t think the short week will affect his team.
