Final day of Modern Gun Season

Today is the final day of the modern gun deer season in Arkansas. For the last several years, the game and fish commission has offered hunters a last chance at hunting surrounding the Christmas holiday, This year’s three day Christmas hunt was scheduled for December 26th through 28th.
So far this season, Hempstead County has recovered over 29 hundred deer being killed. In Howard County, the deer taken totals more than 2,600. Arkansas Game and Fish says there have been Almost 1,500 of that total were bucks.
Pike County had the most deer taken this year, with totals nearly 3,900.
