Okolona man arrested for criminal trespass

On June 26th, Pike County Deputy Micah Brown was notified by dispatch that someone was trying to break into the diesel trucks at Ledbetter’s shop in Antoine.

According to the affidavit, Deputy Brown had arrived on scene but was unable to locate the suspect. Brown then spoke with the reporting party, John Kelly and was informed that the suspect was at the Antoine grocery trying to get in. As reported, Brown went to the grocery store and found the suspect who was identified as 37 year old Nicholas Stone of Okolona, standing in the parking lot. Brown then spoke with the owner of the grocery store and she reportedly stated that she witnessed Stone across the street going through all the diesel trucks at the shop. She even told Deputies that Stone allegedly came over to the grocery store while they were closed and tried to open the front door but was unsuccessful.

Deputies then went back and spoke with the reporting party Kelly and were advised that Stone was a former employee at the Ledbetter’s shop but was fired. After Deputies received statements from all parties, Stone was placed under arrest and transported to the Pike County Detention Center and charged with Breaking or entering, criminal trespass, and theft of property.
