Fatal accident in Lockesburg claim the life of a Horatio woman

Wednesday morning about 5:40 am, a pedestrian was struck by a 2016 Mack Truck at the intersection of US Highway 71 and US Highway 371 in Lockesburg.

75-year-old Connie Pannell of Horatio was hit by the southbound truck as she was crossing Highway 71.

Pannell was pronounced deceased by Dr. Aaron Schmitt about 7:20 am at St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

The accident was investigated by Arkansas State Police trooper Kyle Jones.
