Scrapper Football Coach Gives Report To Rotary Meeting

Scrapper head football coach Mike Volarvich provided the Nashville Rotary Club with an update on the program Wednesday.

Volarvich said between 45 and 65 players are working out this off-season and he really likes their work ethic.

Volarvich stated fall camps is scheduled to begin August 3rd. However, some states have moved football to the spring while others have delayed the start of the season or canceled their games altogether.

Volarvich said it hasn’t been easy to install a new defensive scheme or new wrinkles to the offense because of the pandemic restrictions.

The coach feels this team, which features nine 3-year starters, has a chance to make a deep run in the playoffs.
