Nashville planning to expand tornado siren coverage

The city of Nashville is planning to add additional tornado sirens.  During Monday’s February council meeting, aldermen were presented a cost figure of nearly 68 thousand dollars for two more sirens.  Nashville Fire Chief Justin Thornton details where better coverage is needed:

During discussion by aldermen, it was also mentioned a lack of coverage in the northeastern section of town:

A company in Norman, Oklahoma is providing the siren price quotes.
