Mineral Springs City Council

Aldermen of the Mineral Springs City Council met Monday for the regular monthly meeting.

According to the statement of revenue and expenditures for the month of March, the total revenue was $39.406.98 and expenditures were $23,113.28. The Beginning Fund Balance was $385,123.08 and Ending Fund Balance was $384,377.10. Mineral Springs Cemetery Fund, Street Fund had a beginning balance of $36,689.79 and an ending balance of $34,097.73.

The Fire and Rescue Department had a total of two drills and nine calls. Five of those calls were first responder calls, one structure fires, two storm spotting, and one smoke alarm.

For the month of March the Water and Sewer Department had a beginning balance of $188,048.97. Income for the month was $37,496.06 and funds available was $225,545.03. Expenses for operation and maintenance was $41,457.26 and expense from revenue bond fund was $12,927.94. The total funds were $178,864.24.

According to Chief of Police Francisco Mercado’s report there were three traffic citations, and one criminal citation. The police department also had seven offense reports, one misdemeanor arrest, and four felony arrests.
