Crop Loss Due to Above Average Rainfall

Arkansas as a whole has seen an excessive amount of rain fall so far this year. Some of the heaviest coming from mid May through the first week of June. Farmers were forced to count crops as a loss as June showed up and the rain just continued. Congressman Westerman spoke in an interview on Friday about the amount of loss incurred from this excessive rain in the southeast portion of the state:

 As we are almost halfway through July the concern has become the opposite as July and August are regularly Arkansas driest months of the year.
