Benton man arrested in Pike County on Domestic Battery charge

On November 24th at approximately 12:43pm Officer Micah Brown with the Murfreesboro Police Department received a call from Matt Chaney and was informed that Matt’s son Benjamin Chaney had broken his nose. Officer Brown went to 315 Will St and took a report from the victim Matt Chaney.
According to the report, Benjamin left the residence after striking Matt Chaney and went to his sister’s house in Dierks. 
Officer Brown then made contact with the Dierks Chief of Police John McGhee and informed him of Benjamin Chaney’s location. Benjamin Chaney was arrested and taken to the Howard County Jail where he was picked up by Officer Brown and escorted to the Pike County Jail.
33 year old Benjamin Chaney of Benton has been charged with Domestic Battery in the Second-Degree.
