Legacy Sweeps Victory Christian in Camden

LOCKESBURG, AR— All four of Legacy Academy’s basketball teams traveled to Camden Tuesday night and secured four wins over Victory Christian. In the Senior Boys game the Warriors won a decisive 71-32 victory. DJ Morris scored 30 points and had 5 steals for Legacy. Ethan Gallagher secured a triple-double with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists. He also had 6 steals for the visiting team. Post player Layne Schroer added ten points and 8 rebounds. Benjamin Lovell, Tristan Gerrald, Joshua Tucker, and Manolo Vasquez also got on the board.
In senior girls’ action the Lady Warriors cruised to a 47-11 win over the Lady Conquerors. Dori Bartek was the high scorer of the night with 17 points for the Lockesburg team, followed by Gracie Tucker with 14. Maddie Lowrey had an impressive 6 rebounds for the Lady Warriors. Lowrey, Trinity Cox, Hannah Mae Morris, and Oaklee Lofton also scored for the Lady Warriors.
In the Junior Boys’ game, the Warriors won 53-22. Everrette Martz scored 18 for the Warriors, including 4 three-pointers. Layne Schroer, Wyatt Roden, and Manolo Vasquez all put 6 points on the board for the Warriors. Joshua Tucker, James Bartek, Brayson Talley, and Jude Gallagher also scored. The team spread the points around with nine members scoring. Wyatt Roden led rebounds for the Lockesburg team securing 5.
Legacy’s junior girls also won their game Tuesday night with a final score of 34-4. For the Lady Warriors, Lilly Tucker scored 10 and Oaklee Lofton 7. Olivia Lofton, Hannah Mae Morris, Libbie Bartek, Josie Martz, and Jesse Martz rounded out the scoring for the ladies. Jesse Martz had 7 rebounds, while her sister Josie grabbed 6. Lilly Tucker also grabbed 5 steals.
Legacy has their last night of basketball before Christmas break with home games in Lockesburg against Murfreesboro Friday night.
