State Officials Present Sample Check

State officials were in attendance at this month’s UA Cossatot graduation ceremony to present a sample check that outlined how the school has benefited from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.  Dr. Maria Markham, Director of the Arkansas Department of Higher Education and Alisha Lewis, a communications director with the state agency, presented the check to Cossatot officials.
Since the lottery began ten years ago scholarships totaling one point one million dollars have been generated for UA Cossatot students.
Statewide, the lottery has generated 908 million dollars, providing 542 thousand scholarships for Arkansas students.
