City of Dierks Award Grant for 2019 Flood Repair
While the city of Dierks avoided another devastating flood event yesterday, the town is still trying restore everything from last year’s flood. Mayor Ronnie Cogburn said he has received notification from Senator Tom Cotton’s office that Dierks has been awarded a grant in the amount of $199,825. Most of the money will be used to repair three water lines that were damaged at creek crossings. The lines were undermined in the July 2019 flood. The remaining portion of the money will be used for various sewer repairs.
