COVID cases increase in surrounding counties

Howard and Hempstead counties have seen increases over the weekend in the number of active COVID-19 cases. Howard County’s numbers climbed back over 20, standing at 21 as of Sunday evening. The number of cumulative cases has reached more than 500, with 470 recoveries. The death count from COVID-19 remains at 12 in Howard County.
In Hempstead County, the number of active cases is 40. The number of active COVID-19 cases in other neighboring counties includes 10 in Sevier County, 12 in Pike County, Little River County has 16 as of Sunday evening, while Polk County is reporting 22 cases.
