Dierks home destroyed by fire

A residence was completely destroyed by fire Tuesday night near Dierks. Firemen were dispatched to the call on Highway 70 west around 9:30 Tuesday night. Units from Umpire, Center Point and Lockesburg all assisted. Firemen say the home was a total loss. Occupants were at home when the fire started and everyone was able to escape safely. Firemen remained on scene until around one o’clock Wednesday morning.
