Early voting begins today

Early voting begins today across Arkansas in the primary election.  In Howard County, early voting will take place from 8 to 6 weekdays through May 20th at the Carter Day Center next to Lake Nichols in Nashville.   There will also be early voting available the next two Saturdays from 10 to 4.  The final day of early voting will be May 23rd, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

One day of early voting will also be offered on May 23rd at the community building in Dierks.

This month’s primary election features no locally contested races on the Democrat party ballot in Howard County.  The Republican ballot is a different story.  There are three local races in the Republican primary.  Those include the offices of Howard County Sheriff, Howard County Judge, and Nashville City Clerk.

Any contested school board races in a specific area, the 9th West Prosecuting Attorney’s race and any statewide judicial races, will be included on both party ballots and the non partisan ballot.
