Indictments handed down in Lansdell Family Clinic investigation

Federal indictments have been issued against eight people in connection with a multi-county investigation into the illegal distribution of opioids in southwest Arkansas.  Authorities say the investigation began in 2019.  Last May, personnel with the Drug Enforcement Agency executed search warrants at Lansdell Family Clinics in De Queen, Dierks, Lockesburg, and Texarkana.  Federal authorities have yet to identify the eight individuals, which consists of three pharmacists and five nurse practitioners. 

Federal authorities were assisted in their investigation by sheriff’s departments in Howard, Sevier and Miller counties, as well as police departments in Dierks and De Queen.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned tomorrow in federal court at Texarkana.
