Jr. Scrapper track team starts season with strong finish

The Nashville Junior Scrapper track team competed Tuesday at the Jr. Lakeside Relays at Hot Springs Lakeside. The Jr. Scrappers finished in 2nd place behind the host school. Lakeside had 125 points. Nashville had 123.5 points. In the individual competitions, Nashville’s Jacob Goss and Kentrell Palmer placed first and second respectively, in the 200 meter dash. Omari Benson won the shot put competition, and Jaylen Watson was second in the triple jump. As a team, the Junior Scrappers squad won the 4 x 200 meter relay.
