Jr. Scrappers vs Arkadelphia Badgers

Last Thursday, the Jr Scrappers hosted the Arkadelphia Badgers in their first conference game.

Quarterback DJ Jefferson would score a 20-yard touchdown in the first quarter during their second offensive possession. Jefferson would then score two additional touchdowns during the second quarter and the Jr Scrappers took a 22 to nothing lead. Here is the call from Mike Aylett.

Miles Hawthorne would score another touchdown in the second quarter and here is the call as heard on B99.5.

The score was now 29 to 0 in the second quarter. Before going into halftime Ivan De Los Santos would kick an 18-yard field goal adding 3 additional points to the board.

The Junior Scrappers opened up the second half on offense and Jefferson would add another six points to the board.  The field goal attempt was good, and the Junior Scrappers didn’t score the remainder of the game. The Arkadelphia Badgers would score in the 4th quarter but still fell short and the Junior Scrappers defeated the Badgers 39 to 8. 

Jr Scrappers are now 3 and 1 on the season and one and 0 in the conference. The Junior Scrappers will be in Fountain Lake this Thursday. Kickoff will be at 7pm and B 99.5 will have the live coverage.
