Moore appointed to the Dierks School Board

Thursday night, the four members of the Dierks School Board voted to appoint a former board member to serve the remainder of Trey Eckert’s term during a special called meeting. Eckert resigned during the board’s regular March meeting because he had moved out of the district.

The board voted 4-0 to appoint former board member Todd Moore to serve until the June board meeting. Kara Tedford will assume the Zone 5 seat in June following the May election. Tedford is running unopposed for the Zone 5 seat.

Superintendent Jody Cowart expressed his appreciation for Ekert’s service and his appreciation to Moore for excepting the board’s appointment.
