Nashville Chamber Director speaks to Nashville Rotary Club

Nashville Chamber of Commerce executive director, Mike Reese was the guest speaker at this week’s Rotary meeting.

Reese announced the chamber has 50 Christmas trees along Main Street that residents and businesses can decorate in honor or in memory of someone. Each tree will cost $35. As in years past, people buying the trees will provide the decorations and the chamber will supply the signage. There are 50 trees this year and you can reserve a tree by contacting the city park office at 845-7405.

Reese mentioned the large Christmas is at the corner of Main and Howard. He also mentioned Christmas music is playing in the downtown area from 6 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday.

Christmas Bucks is also underway and Reese said there are 25 businesses participating this year. A weekly winner, each receiving one hundred dollars, is being selected. The first winner was from Mineral Springs and the second drawing will be Friday, December 11 at Ivan Smith Furinture. The final Christmas Bucks drawing will be held on Friday, December 18th. The cash prizes will need to be redeemed within a week of winning at the store where the winning name was selected from.
