Nashville Public Works Offers Text Notifications

Nashville Public Works has announced that citizens of Nashville are now able to be notified via automated text message when things are happening around town such as roads that will be closed, water being turned off for repairs, offices being closed, and more. To opt into this program text the word “Nashville” to 91896. You will then be prompted to confirm your opt-in. Nashville Public Works says that you can expect between 0-4 text messages a month that will be sent out to help keep you informed of the work they’re doing as well as so you can plan around what may become any inconveniences. You can opt out of this service at any time by texting “STOP” to be removed from the notification list.
