Nashville School Board approves district staff transfers

The Nashville School Board has accepted the resignation of three district staff members. Resignations were accepted Monday from primary teacher Janet Copeland, Elementary Art teacher Michael Eudy, and from custodian Debra Thurman. The three resignations are effective June 30th.
During yesterday’s special meeting, the board accepted a number of transfer requests at the recommendation of Superintendent Doug Graham. The transfers included Tami Westfall to elementary special education and Kristi Vines to the position of elementary computer lab. Jennifer Gordon is being transferred to Junior High Media Specialist, Christy Hanney to Family and Consumer Sciences at junior high, Julie Wakely to High School Media Specialist, and Leslie Strong is being transferred to an elementary teaching position. There was one hire yesterday. Dara Goff was employed as an elementary teacher.
Superintendent Graham said the district is listing a dozen open positions on the local district’s website and through a state website.
