Thursday the Nashville School District held a signing ceremony for three students. All three students signed to Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Emily Bailey who will be majoring in Sports Medicine, Jett Stephenson who will be majoring in Political Sciences, and Caleb Cook who was awarded a $16,000 dollar scholarship for four years.

Today we will highlight Senior Emily Bailey who also plays for the Nashville Scrapperette Softball Team. Softball Coach Boomer Brown shared a few stats, and he talks about how hard Bailey works as a player.

Bailey said it means the world to her to see the support that she and her friends received, and she took a moment to talk about her parents, family, and teammates and how this would not be possible without them.

Athletic Director Bunch Nichols closed out the ceremony by presenting each senior with a Scrapper case that says, “Once a Scrapper!” and a pen that had “Always a Scrapper” engraved on it. Nichols told them to take those pens and put them up on a shelf. Nichols said quote, “but whatever you do, don’t ever forget where you come from!”
