NJHS band students qualify for All-Region Band

Saturday, several members of the Nashville Junior High Band went to Lake Hamilton High School  for the 2022-2023 Arkansas School Band and Orchestration Association Region 2 Junior High All-Region band auditions. Ten students tried out and all of them were selected for either first or second band.

Band Director Dennis Sanders explained what All Region Honor Band is and the process of the competition.

Sanders also expressed how it feels to have all 10 NJHS band members placed in the All Region Band.

NJHS Band Members that placed in the All Region Band were:

Flute – Klaire Hendry- 1st Chair 1st Band

Clarinet – Kaylee Santamaria- 2nd chair ist Band

Alto Sax – Landon Magee- 6th chair 2nd Band

Trumpet – Connor Crabtree- 8th chair ist Band, Hayden Crabtree- 7th chair 2nd Band and Jaime Hartness- 11th chair 2nd Band

Trombone – Dakota Dixon- 8th chair ist Band

Euphonium – Dalton Manlove- 2nd chair 1st Band

Tuba – Roland Schwope- 7th chair 1st Band

Percussion – Raymiah Alvarez- 4th chair 1st band

These students competed against 400+ students from around Southwest Arkansas.
