Registration due on all Poultry Feeding Operations

The Natural Resources Division and the Mine Creek Conservation District is reminding all owners of Poultry Feeding Operations that the annual registration for those facilities is underway through march 31st for any farm with 2,500 or more confined fowl.
Each poultry producer in Howard County will register their operation through the Mine Creek Conservation District. There will be an annual $10 registration fee per operation payable to the district.
The registration is required by state law and is designed to help keep water supplies safe.
Failure to register will result in a written notice of non-compliance for the first offense. Fines will be levied for a second or third offense.
