Scrapperettes faceoff with Lady Miners Thursday afternoon on the road

The Nashville Scrapperettes have a huge matchup this Thursday afternoon as they travel to Bauxite to take on the 7-4A leading Lady Miners.

The Lady Miners currently have a half-game lead over the Scrapperettes. Bauxite defeated Nashville 1-0 in their first contest on a solo home run. Scrapperette coach Boomer Brown said his team hit the ball well, but could not string together enough hits.

The Scrapperettes competed this past weekend in the Benton Classic and coach Brown said he was pleased with their effort and he felt the Scrapperettes were going to benefit from that experience.

First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 Thursday afternoon. 

The Scrapperettes will host their Scrappaganza Friday at the Nashville City Park beginning at 5 pm.
