Scrapper Band – Region 2 Band Results

The All Region competition for Southwest Arkansas took place last weekend. If you’re not familiar with this process this is where students in band go to perform amongst hundreds of other performers across their region. Students are often given a couple pieces of music to practice and perfect months in advance. This is an individual contest where the best of the best are selected on each instrument and with those a full band is made. They’ll go on to perform together in the Region 2 Honor Band concert. 

For the Nashville Scrapper Band the results are as follows:

Clarinet – Karilynn Arellano – Top Band – 3rd chair

Bari Sax – Colton Nelson – Top Band – 2nd chair

Trumpet – Connor Crabtree – Top Band – 13th chair

French Horn – Kaiden White – Top Band – 5th chair

Trombone – Dakota Dixon – 1st Alternate

Euphonium – Dalton Manlove – Top Band – 3rd chair

Percussion – Rayhmiah Alvarez – Top Band – 11th chair

These students again competed against 500+ from around Southwest Arkansas to be awarded with top honors. Congratulations to all of them!
