Westerman hosting annual Ag Tour in 4th District

U.S. Representative Bruce Westerman will host his annual Agriculture Tour of the Fourth District Tuesday, October 11 through Thursday, October 13.

The purpose of the tour is to meet with Arkansas’ farmers, ranchers, producers and researchers and discuss the challenges they face, especially in the face of record inflation and looming food crisis.

Westerman will visit the Dale Bumpers Small Farms Research Center in Booneville and with farmers in Franklin County who have been affected by the drought on Tuesday, October 11. He will tour the University of Arkansas Southwest Research and Extension Center in Hope, tour the Bearden Farm in Arkadelphia, speak at the Arkansas Forestry Association in Little Rock and visit the Arkansas Cattleman’s Association Heifer Pen Show Sale in Little Rock  on Wednesday, October 12. And on Thursday, October 13, Westerman will tour the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff and the Arkansas Agriculture Aviation Association crop-duster demonstration in Sherrill to discuss how high gas prices is affecting food prices.
