Scrapperettes defeat Malvern to remain undefeated

Tuesday, the Nashville Scrapperette softball team improved to 1 and 0 in conference play with a 9-5 victory over the Malvern Lady Leopards.

Macy McJunkins was the winning pitcher. She gave up one run in the top of the first and then hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the inning to give the Scrapperettes the lead. Madison Steele relieved McJunkins in the top of the sixth inning. She gave up four runs in the top of the seventh, but held on for the win.

The Scrapperettes will play Thursday night at home and at De Queen on Friday.
