Single vehicle accident in Sevier County claims the life of an Ashdown woman

An Ashdown woman died in a single vehicle accident Monday morning about 1:50 am on US Highway 71 near Melrose Road south of Lockesburg in Sevier County.

Robin Lynn McBride, 25, was traveling south on US Highway 71, when her 2015 Nissan left the roadway and struck a tree. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by Sevier County Coroner Rusty Williams.

The state police report states the roadway was dry but it was foggy.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Joshua Broughton.
