Rodgers hired as new Nashville PD patrol officer

The Nashville Police Department has hired a new officer this week.  Chief Amy Marion said the department has been down two patrol officers since McKenzie Vermillion left to accept job with the Murfreesboro Police Department.  The other patrol officer vacancy was created by the early retirement of Jimmy Steely.

One of those positions was filled this week, when the department hired Kevin Rodgers as a patrolman.  Rodgers began working Monday.  Chief Marion said he is a certified officer, with seven years of law enforcement experience.  Rodgers is a 2012 Nashville High School graduate and the Arkansas Law Enforcement Academy in 2017.
