Scrappers Preparing for Pleasant Grove, Tx

High school football teams in Arkansas got approval Friday from Governor Asa Hutchinson to put pads on and begin practices with contact, and the Nashville Scrappers took advantage of that by holding their annual media day and first scrimmage of August Saturday morning. Prior to the scrimmage, Head Coach Mike Volarvich said his team was looking forward to the contact:

The Scrappers first contact against an opposing team will be a pre-season scrimmage Tuesday, August 18th against Hot Springs Lakeside, which is coached by former Scrapper quarterback Jared McBride. The Scrimmage, originally scheduled to be hosted by Henderson State University, has been moved to Scrapper Stadium.
The regular season will open at home for Nashville August 28th against Pleasant Grove, Texas.
