Fatal accident claims life of Ozan resident

Authorities say an Ozan resident died early Sunday from injuries in a one vehicle accident. The victim has been identified as 34 year old Michael Mays. Arkansas State Police say Mays was the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet pickup that was traveling west on Highway 73 near Columbus. Reports said Mays’ vehicle left the north side of the roadway and struck a tree. He was transported to a Hope hospital, where he later died. State Trooper Robert Neese investigated the wreck and said conditions were foggy at the time of the accident.
