Howard County Court

Howard County Court met seeing 50 year old Gary Dean of Nashville. Dean is facing 1 felony charge for possession of drug paraphernalia. During a traffic stop that took place on August 10th State Trooper Seth Medley ran Dean’s information and was made aware of an active warrant originating out of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.

After being placed into handcuffs and into he back of Medley’s patrol unit a search was conducted on Dean’s vehicle. During the search a metal grinder, glass smoking device, and a digital scale with residue was found. A field test was done and determined to be methamphetamine found on several of the items confiscated.

Upon being booked into the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Dean tested positive for COVID and was released.

On October 28th an arrest warrant was issued for Dean’s arrest which was successfully carried out yesterday, November 1st.

A plea of not guilty currently resides for Dean with his pretrial date set for 1/24 and a jury trial set for 2/17. Bail has been set at $10k.
